Another exciting day in Year 5! Hilary Cartmel, who is creating a sculpture for the Papplewick Green development, joined Year 5 for help with this project.
She will be using some of Year 5's ideas when she thinks about her design. The class created some cardboard reliefs which were used to make prints of the natural environment. Another wonderful day for the children.
A menacing looking Viking literally jumped out of Year 5's cupboard and stayed with the class all day!
He taught the children about the Viking gods and showed them some Viking games. In the afternoon the class made Viking long-boats and burned them as in a Viking burial. Thanks Bjorn for an amazing, unforgettable day!
